October Newsletter - Welcome Fall!
Happy Fall Everyone!
The leaves are turning and the season has shifted towards the rush of shorter days, school schedules and a more internally focused time of year. Hopefully you are feeling ready for this natural cycle of change, however it shows up in your daily life.
In our first few months since starting Vital Movement Collective, we’ve received lots of great feedback from our clients! We’ve decided to shift some of our offers here at VMC to better serve you!!
Body Map Assessments
Our Body Map Assessments are no longer mandatory to attend our Small Group Classes or private yoga. Instead we are shifting BMA’s to be a stand alone service where we provide you with a list of Top Priorities that we feel would best improve your posture, mobility, balance and general well being. Included will be exercises that address these top priorities so you can practice at home. And finally you’ll receive a Treatment Plan detailing how we suggest bodywork, yoga sessions or small group classes would help address these Top Priorities.
Small Group Yoga Classes
Our Small Group Yoga Classes are open and ready for you! You can now sign up for classes up to 30 minutes prior to class start time!! Our other services still require 12 hours notice but small group classes will keep registration open until half an hour before start time.
As BMA’s are no longer a requirement for any of our services, you can sign up for our yoga classes right away. We offer two sessions each week dedicated to each body zone.
We’ve adjusted the morning class start time to 9:00 am. Studio opens 10 minutes prior to a class.
And finally, we’ve lowered the class price to $20 per class. If you have kids under 17 who you’d like bring with you to attend class each child is an additional $10. To sign-up your children we do require a separate Intake Form, Consent and sign-up. For more information on how to sign-up your kids for a session you’re also attending, please email or phone us directly.
Announcing “The Science of Breath” Workshop
This experiential workshop will be held on November 10th, 1:00pm to 3:00pm at our office in McKinleyville! This 2 hour event will be an educational and practical exploration of cutting-edge science on breathing and how to leverage this powerful aspect of your physiology. In traditional Yoga practices, Breathing was taught before Postures because it was considered a more fundamental aspect of shifting your consciousness. Expect to learn different methods of breathing such as nasal vs mouth breathing, how breath influences your nervous system, breathing patterns to illicit changes in your state quickly, and some usfeul anatomy and physiology. There will be some gentle poses/activities to help free the diaphragm however this workshop is open to everyone of any physical ability. Price to attend is $35 if you sign up before Nov. 1st and $40 afterwards. Space is limited to 10 students!
